Make a Nature Frame
Giving children a frame to use while exploring outdoors in nature is a great way to get them to see the colours and textures around them in a different way. They may enjoy taking photos of the ‘pictures that they create too. A local teacher decided to give this activity a go and you can see her awesome butterfly frame pictures above. We think they are fantastic!
The frame doesn’t have to be a picture of an animal though, it could actually be an old picture frame, or you could try different shapes cut out as a way to introduce the vocabulary of the names of different shapes.
You could even make a frame using natural materials like in this video, then use that to frame nature scenes. Be creative!
