Taupo Primary Hikoi

Taupo Primary Hikoi

Last week Taupo Primary Years 2 and 3 classes started a new learning unit called Taupo - Our Place. This unit fits in super well with the KGT vision being all about helping connect young people to our local community and environment.

To start their learning journey, the Taupo Primary students, teachers and a large number of parents embarked on a hikoi around town to learn all about some of the history and interesting features that align our streets. It was really eye-opening to see how much learning can be done about our own place when we just slow down and take notice! Thanks to the Taupo Primary teachers for sharing their hikoi learning template as attached.
