Dave Lunly

Hey everyone, I’m Dave Lunly and I’m the Operations Manager for the Department of Conservation. We got involved with Kids Greening because it was a natural extension of Greening Taupō for us to engage collaboratively with the other partners and the children. They’re the future of conservation.

DOC supports the efforts of Kids Greening, through offering sites or activities to work on. Some of our staff are involved with projects, for example some of us visited Waipahihi not too long ago.

For me, Kids Greening Taupō is about involving the young people with conservation. I have grandchildren and I’m passionate about conservation myself, so this is really exciting.
