Video Competition Results

As people flocked to our beautiful lake for the summer, we were keen to make sure they knew about the invasive gold clams and how to avoid spreading them to Lake Taupō and other lakes in Aotearoa.

We wanted to keep the important messaging coming over the holidays and thought that if we had lots of cool videos being shared, that would help.

So, we challenged our students to get together with friends and make a video that helped to spread the key messages about the clams.

Harcourts Taupō and local legend, Didymo Dave came on board, offering $300 worth of cash prizes. We also had some prizes donated by local businesses The Cozy Corner and Kona Kones. Prizes will be awarded at school assemblies.
