Kevin Eastwood

Kia ora, I’m Kevin Eastwood and I represent the Tūwharetoa Māori Trust Board, where I’m the Natural Resources Project Co-ordinator. We look after the interests of all descendants of the Ngāti Tūwharetoa iwi. We’re involved because everything that happens in the area is important to us, particularly when it involves descendants of Tūwharetoa and the youth of the area. We help bring higher-level access to people and access to kaumatua if needed. As a father and soon-to-be grandfather, I think it’s important for kids to learn about the environment and how to protect it. Without projects like Kids Greening, we’re going to be lacking in the future.
