Enviro Summit 2026

Taupō students representing! We loved being able to take these amazing KGT senior student leaders from Taupo-nui-a-Tia College and Tauhara College to the Waikato Regional Council and Waikato Enviroschools EnviroSummit to represent our region. Students came from as far north as Thames and everywhere in between for this event at the Fairfield Project in Hamilton. They could share ideas with enviro leaders from other schools about how to run an Enviro Group. They also got to see how a hot compost system works, learn about the Fairfield Project, do a stream study, and clear an area of wooly nightshade (a new weed for us!). Thanks so much to the organisers for putting on such a fantastic event and allowing our students to be inspired by others.
