He Huihuinga Roto Moana kōrero evening & Te Tūkohu Ngāwha Mātauranga Māori Science & Design Fair in Rotorua

Our coordinators had a wonderful 24 hours in Rotorua. We were inspired at He Huihuinga Roto Moana, an evening of kōrero about the health of the Rotorua lakes and waterways. The speakers were incredible and we learned so much that we can pass on to the students that we teach. Many of the topics were very relevant to Lake Taupō. Then the following day, we headed to the Te Tūkohu Ngāwhā Mātauranga Māori Science and Design Fair. We were blown away by the amazing projects of the rangatahi involved. Thank you so much Te Arawa Lakes Trust! It was our first time attending, but we will be back next year for more great learning and kōrero with passionate people!
