Up Close with Takahē at Wairakei Golf + Sanctuary

Lucky students! Our senior and intermediate student leadership team members had a chance to have a special tour of Wairakei Golf + Sanctuary to learn about the takahē that are kept there. There are only 500 takahē left in the whole world and 17 of them are there! The students loved touring the beautiful golf course in golf carts and learning about the other birds that live in the sanctuary too.
